Katie's Story
After moving into our new home in 2022, my husband and I were excited to begin planning our landscape with a focus on native plants, inspired by the books Bringing Nature Home and Nature's Best Hope by Doug Tallamy, which changed our views on gardening forever. However, we soon found this would be more difficult than we thought. Finding the variety of plants we wanted in the quantities we needed and professionals who knew how to install and take care of them turned out to be nearly impossible! So I decided to do it myself!

We are committed to growing and sourcing the very best and widest variety of native plants that are designed for our climate and soils and support local pollinators and ecosystems. We believe that designing our landscapes doesn't have to be a choice between aesthetics and biodiversity. We're passionate about creating beautiful and functional landscapes for your family AND your local ecosystems. Let us know how we can help!
Skylar's Story
I’ve always had a deep appreciation of nature and the outdoors, probably due to my rural upbringing in the foothills of northern Cache Valley. During my time at Utah State University, I studied horticulture, landscape design, and agriculture which further fueled my desire to be involved in the green industry. But my native plant journey really accelerated during my career selling and marketing seeds; native seeds being a large part of that. I became familiar with many of the native grasses, forbs, and shrubs of Utah as I developed seed mixes for reclamation and beautification projects around the Intermountain West.

I discovered Cache Valley Native Plants in early 2024 and was immediately inspired by what Katie had started. I had to be a part of it. Luckily, Katie felt the same way! We share the same vision and business values, and together we strive for excellence in all we do.

Native plants are the foundation of a healthy, functional ecosystem. They’re crucial to the future of our planet, and they look beautiful too. They can be every bit as ornamental as the introduced species we’ve become accustomed to in our landscapes. Let Cache Valley Native Plants help you along your native plant journey today!
