Scottish Bluebells, or Harebells, (Campanula rotundifolia) is a delicate perennial that grows in clusters with long, slender stems and bell-shaped flowers that hang down from the top of the stem. These adorable blooms will appear in early summer and continue throughout the summer if given even moisture. This plant thrives in higher elevations and mountain gardens. If planting in lower elevations, it prefers morning sun and afternoon shade with regular moisture. Use Harebells in garden beds, borders, cottage gardens, shade or woodland gardens, prairie or meadow plantings, rock gardens, or containers. Harebells are somewhat tolerant of urban pollution.
