Limber Pine (Pinus flexilis) 'Waldorf' is a fantastic dwarf conifer that brightens up any garden space! This miniature pine tree features stiff, blue needles and will eventually grow to have a nice rounded form. Add 'Waldorf' to garden beds and borders, rock gardens, or sunny Japanese style plantings. For best results, plant in sandy or loam soil with good drainage and be careful not to overwater.

Irrigation Requirement: Low (1/2" every 10-14 days) after the plant has established. Water on a moderate schedule the first year or two.
Mature Size: Extremely slow growing, will be approximately 3' tall and 2-3' wide after 10 years.

Salt Tolerant: Somewhat, Limber Pine is more salt tolerant than other pine species, but still not considered very salt tolerant.
Soils: Will do best in well-drained sandy or loam soils, but it can tolerate clay if amended to improve drainage.
Plants in the Pinus genus are known host plants for 150 pollinators in northern Utah. 'Waldorf' can also provide good habitat for some birds and small animals.
