Mexican Hat (Ratibida columnifera) is a charming xeric perennial featuring long-blooming "hat" shaped flowers in shades of red and yellow that drape downwards around a central cone. These beauties attract butterflies and bees all season long. After the blooming season is over, attractive seedheads extend the interest and provide food for birds. Use in drifts or masses in dry garden beds and borders, xeric gardens, rock gardens, or natural prairie or meadow plantings for long season color and interest. It is tolerant of urban pollution.
Each seed packet contains 1 gram, or approximately 1,200-1,800 seeds.
