Notch-Leaf Phacelia (Phacelia crenulata), also known as Cleft-Leaf Wild Heliotrope is a strongly-scented annual wildflower with stiff hairs along the stem. It features deep clefts in its dark green foliage , which remains mostly around the base of the plant, and purple flowers in the spring that top its sturdy stem. While this plant can be planted in dry ornamental gardens, such as rock gardens, its greatest value is as a companion plant near orchards and vegetable gardens due to its attractiveness to predatory insects that eat garden pests. We recommend including this plant along borders of vegetable gardens or in fruit tree guilds. Avoid touching the hairs of this plant, as they may cause dermatitis.
Each seed packet contains 1 gram, or approximately 250-270 seeds.
