Rocky Mountain Beeplant (Cleome serrulata) is a fast-growing annual wildflower palmately compound leaves and gorgeous pink flowers that are very attractive to native pollinators. Although they can be long-season bloomers, in most areas of Utah we expect to see them from July through August or early September. The flowers look striking when planted en masse and the slender seedheads that dangle from the plant (and can occur at the same time as flowering) extend the interest this plant gives to a garden. Recommended for cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, or prairie or meadow plantings. This plant is important to indiginous cultures as a food source and a dye.
