Silver Sagebrush (Artemisia cana) is a beautiful sage with lovely blue foliage in the spring that fades to a silver color as the season progresses. This aromatic and soft foliage makes this Artemisia a lovely choice for landscapes. It is very drought tolerant and requires little water, making it a perfect xeric plant, but it will also tolerate some seasonal flooding. This plant slowly spreads by rhizomes and tolerates pruning (will grow back lusher) and even some hedging. Use in xeric gardens or natural gardens and restoration projects.
