Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum) 'Dallas Blues' is a stunning cultivar of the native switchgrass found naturally growing in a garden in Ohio. Featuring wide, blue colored foliage topped with billowy seedheads of white and pink at the end of summer, this show-stopping grass is an excellent alternative to non-native grasses such as Miscanthus. Use as a speciman plant in garden beds and borders, meadow or priaire style plantings, or as a background or low privacy screen planting. Switchgrass is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution.
